Apple Gives Back

  • The value of giving back

As part of our mission to nurture the whole child is helping children see that he or she has a gift to offer in making the world a better place. Plus the act of giving gives so much in return:

    • It opens our eyes to the world around us
    • It feels good
    • It teaches invaluable lessons
    • It strengthens our community

  • Ronald McDonald House - over $125,000 raised since 2011!

Every year since 2011, Apple Montessori Schools, its families and community have worked together to raise a total of $126,145 through our annual Spring Olympic Day Fundraiser. The donations are used to support RMHC New York Tristate Area’s grants to five Ronald McDonald Houses in the New York metropolitan area, which are homes away from home for the families of seriously ill, hospitalized children. Olympic Day provides children at Apple Montessori with a fun day of relay races and obstacle courses, but more importantly, it teaches valuable lessons about compassion and generosity. • Backpack Donations: The annual backpack drive supports Foster & Adoptive Family Services by providing items to comfort children when entering a new foster home. To learn more and donate to this inspiring program, visit: https://www.fafsonline.org/

  • Thanksgiving Food Drive: Each November, children collect a variety of donated goods which are delivered to local food pantries to help make Thanksgiving a more plentiful one for those in need. All 15 schools join together to make an impact in our local communities.

  • Toys for Tots: Our families are so generous every year as we work together to donate new toys to local families who cannot afford to buy presents. This way, children can open gifts given to them by a loved one, not a charity. Learn more about the program here: http://www.toysfortots.org/

  • Oasis Shelter: We are proud to support Oasis, A Haven For Women and Children who strive to break the cycle of poverty. Students learned how they educate and empower women and children. To learn more or donate, visit: http://oasisnj.org/

  • Additional causes we are proud to support:

    • Animal Shelter
    • Lymphoma and Leukemia
    • Souper Bowl Can Drive
    • Wounded Warrior Project
